AMI presented its Menswear and Womenswear Fall-Winter 2022 collections. Held at Palais Brongniart, the physical fashion show marked the return of the brand on the catwalk, with a live audience, after a two-year intermission.

I was very much inspired by the fascinating combination of styles and people that you see every day in the métro: this is a perfect place to observe, to feel the social and cultural diversity of the city, to experience the zeitgeist, to watch trends develop. I like to think of it as an urban ballet, where everyone, regardless of age, origins and social status, mingles and coexists in ephemeral, fortuitous encounters. The Concept Paris remains a steady source of inspiration for Alexandre Mattiussi and AMI. The Fall-Winter 22 show concept revolves around the métro, an omnipresent urban reference, a public space where everyone mixes and blends, without discrimination. It parallels a collection anchored in the Parisian universe, whose essence runs deep in AMI’s DNA and aesthetics. Like a mirror of the city’s style, a kaleidoscope of its inhabitants: audacious, multicolored, chic, fun, welcoming, diverse.
In real life, the métro transports from one neighborhood to another; in the show, through different metaphorical dimensions and atmospheres, like a travel in space and time. By recreating its tunnels in a mythical monument, AMI pays a playful tribute to its hometown.
In accordance with the recommendations of the French Government and the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, AMI has implemented the respect of the strictest COVID-19 safety measures on location.
The Set AMI’s Fall-Winter 22 fashion show was held at Palais Brongniart, the former headquarter of the Bourse, the French stock exchange, a historical landmark in the heart of Paris.
Upon arriving on Place de la Bourse, guests were ushered into the location through a long métro tunnel, paneled with the characteristic white tiles, specially recreated for the occasion. The collection was presented in the main hall of the Palais: a gigantic space framed by a double set of arcades, under a breathtaking vaulted ceiling, recalling the entrances of old neoclassical stations.
Entering the hall through another similar, white métro tunnel, the models walked into a minimalist grey set. This monochrome background provided a deep sense of space, adding further focus to the collection and highlighting the subtlety of its elevated pieces.
The Casting This season, casting brought back the notion of community dear to AMI.
A deliberately eclectic crowd of people took to the catwalk, from different backgrounds and horizons, of all ages, genders and origins. It included an element of surprise, with the unexpected participations of iconic faces such Isabelle Adjani, Emily Ratajkowski, Laetitia Casta, Rebecca Dayan and Ben Attal.
Established model names, with the likes of Mariacarla Boscono, Kirsten Owen, Jill Kortleve, Julia Nobis, Mariam de Vinzelle, Leon Dame, Edie Campbell, Paloma Elsesser and her brother Sage Elsesser, Anna Ewers, Malika Louback and Fernando Cabral… mixed with AMI’s signature street-casted models and up-and-coming faces.
Each with their own style and personality, they embodied the broad diversity of Paris, echoing the Fall-Winter 22’s spirit.
The Collection Luxurious, dynamic and effortlessly chic, the Fall-Winter 22 is a statement collection, celebrating AMI’s quintessential DNA. Its vibrant realism is reflected in audacious associations; in the free-spirited color palette, prints and motives; in the matching of rich textures and eccentric fabrics, lush faux fur and leather-printed fake leopard and python. Volumes are explored through a series of layered, oversized outerwear. Consciously focusing on AMI’s wardrobe, the collection encompasses a rich variety of silhouettes, including strong unisex pieces, together with tailored masculine shapes and more delicate, body-hugging feminine ones.

The Accessories On the runway, AMI unveiled Le Voulez-Vous, its newest it-bag, complementing the lively, urban vibe of the collection. Sharp lines and timeless symmetry, making for a contemporary sophistication. Elegant design characteristics include a supple and soft crinkled leather, a double chain and an AMI de Cœur clasp. Le Voulez-Vous is available in classical tones: black, burgundy and white.
The show introduced a range of bags in strong colors, underlining the energetic spirit of the wardrobe – both Le Déjà-Vu and L’Accordéon have been reinterpreted in new materials and color palette.
The collection also features a collaboration with jeweler Alan Crocetti: contemporary pieces in sterling silver, whose design revisits the house’s symbolic Ami de Cœur.

L’iconica “Infinity” BRA-BELT in ecopelle spessorata, dalla forma elicoidale che richiama il simbolo dell’infinito, avvolge e protegge delicatamente la vita o il seno.
Abiti a spirale che si sfilacciano organicamente sulle spalle creando bretelle inedite, simbolo dei cromosomi, mentre in vita si sciolgono in impalpabili pieghe organiche, plastica espressione di telomeri inossidabili. Motivi ad elica si insinuano asimmetrici negli abiti da cocktail in crêpe, sottolineati da micro incrostazioni di strass ton sur ton
Il décolleté si avvolge in un vortice elicoidale a spirale, rivelando e celando, al tempo stesso.
Ricami, rigorosamente made in Italy, sottolineano con vinili e strass gli intrecci e le forme tipiche dei cromosomi in una spirale inesorabile che avvolge e protegge come un’armatura micro abiti, coprispalle e top.
Fluidi cady di viscosa, morbidi fresco di lana, impalpabili mohair contrastano con cotoni armaturati, double di lana e tessuti tecnici.
Daywear in cotone intrecciato per cargo oversize multi-tasche (e multi-tasking) con doppio fondo (contenuto vertiginosamente da una zip, o super-over aperte “a delta” al fondo, regolabile, a seconda delle necessità) e minigonne “inside out” esibiscono la mezza elica laterale, caratteristico tratto geneticamente creato nella Collezione.
La massima espressione della collezione Byblos “DNA” è rappresentata dai chokers a semi-spirale genderless insieme a maxi e mini orecchini in ottone rodiato, studiati attraverso il design computazionale con programmi di architettura parametrica. Una tecnologia avanzata che permette di realizzare creazioni estremamente complesse e dettagli estremamente miniaturizzati, che sono generalmente utilizzati nell’architettura 3D e creati attraverso l’utilizzo di stampe 3D di ultima generazione, prive di punti di saldatura che ne contaminerebbero la pulizia estetica: così come in Natura, in Byblos.
Urban bohemia was the theme of Michael Kors’ Fall/Winter 2023 runway show, which took place this morning at 11 AM in New York City. The show highlighted timeless glamour, celebrating the women Kors calls his influencers, those forever icons who have left a lasting impression on the designer and his work. Taking place in the West Village, this season serves as an ode to the rule-breaking spirit that has characterized Greenwich Village for decades.
“For this Collection, I was really thinking about the things that influenced me when I was coming of age in the ‘70s,” says designer Michael Kors, “the women who influenced me, the neighborhood that influenced me, and the combination of big city glamour and bohemia that I found in Greenwich Village at that time.”
Kors played with proportion, showing long sweeping coats and dramatic capes paired with leggy dresses, skirts and shorts. He used slashes, slits and lean knits to frame the body, and hip-slung belts to shift the eye. Sleek, glamorous jumpsuits made the case for a new kind of evening. The rich, hushed palette ranged from shades of graphite and charcoal to warm tones of chocolate and chestnut, with monochrome moments of merlot and forest. Accessories had a softer attitude, from fringed clutches and relaxed messengers to streamlined bucket bags, while boots grounded almost every look.
A live orchestra accompanied recorded tracks of “Somebody to Love” by Jefferson Airplane and Fleetwood Mac’s “Go Your Own Way,” creating a multi-dimensional soundtrack as models including Vittoria Ceretti, Irina Shayk, Amber Valletta, Liya Kebede, Adut Akech and more walked the birch- and mirror-lined runway.
Gloria Steinem, Kate Hudson, Katie Holmes and Mindy Kaling were among the A-list front row, along with New York Governor Kathy Hochul, Lea Michele, Ellen Pompeo, Isabelle Adjani, Beatrice Grannò, Simona Tabasco and more.
The live show experience premiered on the brand’s social and digital channels, including MichaelKors-Collection.com, which serves as the hub for all Fall/Winter 2023 Michael Kors Collection content. The programming was also available to the brand’s international audience across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Twitter, as well as on WeChat, Weibo, LINE and Kakao.
Vivetta ama il gioco e la leggerezza di un romanticismo che racconta sentimenti gentili.
La magia della natura la affascina, e ispira i disegni delle stampe, riprese da foulards vintage e popolate da piccoli animali, foglie e fiori autunnali, funghetti e muschio del sottobosco. Fittamente plissettati e uniti in combinazioni patchwork realizzate artigianalmente, i foulards si trasformano in festosi abiti dagli orli asimmetrici a fazzoletto in colori brillanti.
Un mood vivace percorre l’intera collezione Pre-Fall23, con tocchi sognanti e surreali che creano i magici trompe l’oeils cari a Vivetta. Un completo tre pezzi — blazer maschile, camicia e maxi gonna a pieghe in fresco di lana — è in realtà un unico abito; un lungo cappotto doppiopetto è costruito in modo da sembrare un tailleur spezzato giacca e gonna. Le piccole mani, da sempre simbolo portafortuna, compaiono come graziose spille sui maglioncini in mohair a trama compatta, si trasformano in chiusura a moschettone su braccialetti, o vengono trapuntate sui corti piumini zippati in vinile nero, indossati con minigonne assortite. Una cappa imbottita in rosa confetto ha piccole maniche a campana; i bordi della chiusura rappresentano il profilo di un volto femminile.
Amante dei contrasti, Vivetta gioca con volumi e lunghezze spesso opposte. Proporzioni generose si alternano a forme ridotte e vicine al corpo; lunghezze estreme fanno da contrappunto a minigonne cortissime e audaci.
Tessuti preziosi come velluto martellato, raso, chiffon, cady e fresco di lana, insieme a filati in cashmere, merino e mohair danno alla collezione un tono elegante, mentre la palette cromatica in colori densi e saturi — ametista, citrino, rosa bubblegum, eleva la vibrazione giocosa e maliziosa che risuona come un magico diapason nel mondo di Vivetta.
