Ami and Borsalino launch an exclusive collaboration

AMI and the Italian hat-manufacturer Borsalino have combined their know-how to create an exclusive range of felt hats, in the Parisian’s house first-ever collaboration around an iconic accessory.

Manufacturer of luxury hats for over 165 years, Borsalino symbolizes the best of Italian craftsmanship and traditional elegance. Its name is synonym of enduring chic and of a cool, Dolce Vita-like lifestyle. Creating the perfect hat has always been a dream of Alexandre Mattiussi, AMI’s founder and creative director. A hat that represents the ultimate accessory, that emphasizes an outfit and defines a personality.

In this exclusive collaboration, Alexandre Mattiussi and Borsalino imagined a range of superior quality floppy hats.

A delightful mix of Parisian and Milanese influences, the Borsalino x AMI hats are declined in dark, sophisticated colors: burgundy, green and black, adding a touch of tradition and artistry to the already energetic AMI Spring-Summer 22 collection.

First seen on the London runway for the Spring/Summer 2023 season, The Shard shoes have a transparent wedge heel that evokes the appearance of walking on air. Part of the family are ankle boots and double strap sandals in black and bright blue leather. The ankle boots are crafted in compact viscose knit, all-over sequin and Hieronymus Bosch inspired embroidery on a 75mm or 105mm heel height.

New for the Spring/Summer 2023 season is The Peak bag with a curved magnetic frame evocative of the instantly recognisable and bold McQueen tailored shoulder. From there, the body of the bag is relaxed, embodying the contrast between the soft and the structured that is central to the house handwriting. The Peak has a Knuckle-inspired opening via which it may be handheld and a fixed metal chain shoulder strap. It is available in two sizes and in black, ivory and bright red leather.
