DSQUARED2 PRE-SPRING SUMMER 2021 WOMENSWEAR

Real clothes for real women for their everyday. Sportswear and traveling are em bedded in the design vision of the Dsquared2 Pre-Spring Summer 2021 women’s collection, the themes are energized into essential pieces, to slide into any wo men’s current wardrobe rotation. A technical fabric keeps the wearer comfor table and cool, a contemporary cut, a distinctive motif that plays on the logos of the brand. Primary colors of blue, red and yellow contrast against a nut and grey color palette.

Sportswear is mixed with summer stripes, denim, tailoring and brand emblems to give the clothes a youthful spirit. Lightweight waxed papery cotton is cut into jackets, perforated to reveal a maple leaf on the back, and also offered as bom bers, pants and shorts to wick away moisture.

Sweatshirts are hemmed in nylon with a drawstring, giving a sporty bomber bottom, decorated the Dsquared2 graphically correct mono-color print logos.
Drawstrings in blousons, tracksuit pants and tops reshape the garment’s silhouette with curves and volume. Thermo-sealed tropical weight wool creates modern women’s tailoring. Summer’s staple is an unforgettable pair of denim shorts, cut and re-mended with the perfect wash as though it was your favorite cut-offs of all time (and it is).

Distinct motifs add eye-catching appeal. Labelling-done in the same style of a care instruction on the interior of garments-embellishes the outside of sweat shirts and blazers. High waist jeans, hot shorts and a denim dress are profiled with studded grosgrain ribbon trim, other denim pieces are constructed with colored nylon. Women’s looks have a softer feel (unconstructed tailored paja mas). Eveningwear is dominated by a tuxedo theme, with a fluid pant, slightly oversized blazer, a sleeveless jumpsuit and a shimmering black sequined tuxedo.

Crafted in a mix of nylon and suede with an elevated transparent insert (bubble), a new sneaker design is for when she wants to change from her three-strap stiletto to her sporty runner. Luggage and totes in soft printed nylon and coated canvas are for the traveler who journey to experience, live to enjoy, engage in their surroundings and are ready for real action. “Shabam!” -Dean Caten.

WHENEVER YOU ARE; WHEREVER YOU ARE

DSQUARED2 PRE SPRING SUMMER 2021

“Going deeper into the experience of the fashion shoot, we invite the viewer on set of our new collection, where all the moods and themes play out in a rolling take of models in the looks.

It’s like a campaign come to life. It’s an insider’s peek behind the scenes.” Dean and Dan Caten

Backstage for the Pre Spring Summer 2021 collection shooting Dean and Dan Caten give an exclusive point of view to the experience – real life behind the camera.

Taking us on set, where prep is underway, the photographer and all teams are readying the models for the shoot.

Dean and Dan Caten invite all of us to watch from ‘whenever you are, wherever you are’ then the models begin to interact, and the lookbook of the collection comes to life,

evening wear captured in a black-and-white horizontally panning film of models posing between the spotlights and fans.

Original music keeps the rhythm of the collection when it segues into a new high-color sequence showing the sporty summery lineup,

the models posing in each look to showcase details of the pieces, the volume in a jacket, the silhouette of a denim pant.

This is not theatre, Dean assures us, this is straight-up fashion.
