This year GCDS invites you to its Palazzo. Are you wondering what’s behind the façade? What is hidden inside the golden GCDS keyhole?

In this collection, GCDS’ co-founder and creative director Giuliano Calza takes his inspiration from elements ranging from cinema noir to playhouses, topping it off with some good ol’ fashioned magic.

The concept of the collection is linked to how the expectations placed upon society’s youth are actually destructive forces on their imagination. So in this perpetual game of mystery, the youthfulness vanishes under the stress of social norms, and transmutes into demonic lenses to look through, in order to discover the beauty that blossoms out of the cracks.

GCDS presents the FW1920 men’s and women’s collections, distinguished by its loud colors and energetic patterns. Featuring Jessica Rabbit, Polly Pocket all-over prints and vibrant 90’s dream accessories, the collection is entirely made in Italy. This season was born using time-tested methods of craftsmanship to create a wide array of knitwear, stone washed denim, leather soled shoes, and croc-printed accessories.
These ingredients collectively form a movement towards the future, where boys can wear pink and girls can desire sex.

BARILLA CAPSULE:
Expanding from clothing to makeup, GCDS is ready to play with food too! This fall winter GCDS is teaming up with Barilla, World’s leading pasta manufacturer, rebranding the iconic blue box to launch a capsule collection and marketing campaign for Christmas 2019.
When Barilla came to us to ask how we could collaborate, I instantly imagined the box and the color fuchsia, the color I introduced into my streetwear collection when I first started” , Giuliano Calza stated. “Back when it was all black and white… Today family is not only what you are born into: it is whom you choose, whom you grow with through experiences. So I put this fuchsia box of pasta on the table and ask everyone to enjoy it out of box, with their loved ones”.

POLLY POCKET CAPSULE:
For the first time in 30 years, one of America’s most storied toy brands is launching a capsule collection with GCDS, a perfect marriage in both aesthetic and messaging. Polly Pocket, one of the 1990’s most iconic generational toys, demonstrates what every child is aware of: being small doesn’t represent a limitation, but a great strength.
